About the site

The revised website of the Prime Minister’s Office - www.vnk.fi - was opened on 13 March 2006. The section Ministry presents the organisation and management of the Prime Minister’s Office, as well as information about the personnel, finances, premises and history.Activities contains presentations of the principal tasks and responsibilities of the Prime Minister’s Office. The information covers a wide range: from the Government’s decision-making process and follow-up of the Government programme to practical advice about how to apply for an honorary title or to inquire equivalents of government terminology in various languages from the Government Terminology Service.

The section Prime Minister gives information about the duties and selection of the Prime Minister. The site also provides a link to the current Prime Minister’s personal data and photos.

The Directories offer an alphabetical index and links that help to find information. There are also certain subject areas that have been filed in their entirety, such as the special web pages on the Future Forums.

Each page provides an access to the search function, directories, Finnish and Swedish pages, feedback, contact information, sitemap and the presentation of the website (About the site).
